1Q34I DISK WLR ERROR DURING [COLD/WARM] START
Cause: During POWER initiation a wrong length record error occurred while an attempt was
being made to access one of the POWER disk files. Cold start means POWER files have to be
formatted. Warm start means the files do not have to be formatted at this time. Cold or warm
start is specified in this message. If it occurs during warm start the wrong length error may
have been caused by a change ih the POWER system or by a change in the DOS/VS job
control statements defining the POWER files. If the message occurs during cold start the WRL
error may have been caused by a defective track or a hardware malfunction.
System Action: Initiation will not be completed and POWER will restore the system for
operation without POWER. The contents of the files may be destroyed when the error occurs.
Programmer Action: none.
Operator Action: If the message occurs during warm start, perform POWER initiation again
and specify that the POWER files have to be formatted, or
If the message occurs during cold start, direct access device initialization (DASDI) must be
performed for the data disk involved.
