where XX = partition—independent routine
y = T (print writer routine) or P (punch writer routine)
Cause: The execution processor tries to write output on tape, or
A writer routine tries to read from tape, and one of the following conditions exists:
· device already in use
· device down
· device not contained in system
System Action: If the message is from an execution processor routine, the partition is placed
in the wait state. If it is from a writer routine the S command is ignored and processing
continues.
Programmer Action: none.
Operator Action: If the message occurred while starting a writer routine, retype the S
command with a free tape device address. If it is from the execution processor routine,
re-enter the * $$ PRT or * $$ PUN statement at the console with a free tape address.
