2101I INVALID OPERATION IN CONTROL STATEMENT

Cause: Invalid operation in control statement. Valid control statements are PHASE, INCLUDE,
ENTRY, and ACTION. A CATALR statement will not cause an error, but will be ignored by the
linkage editor.
System Action: The invalid statement is ignored and processing continues, unless ACTION
CANCEL was specified to cancel the job.
Programmer Action: Refer to card format 3 (see introduction to this section) and compare
this with the output on SYSLST. Verify the card format.
Some probable errors are:
· misspelled operation,
· operation field beginning in column 1,
· cards out of order in the job stream.
Correct the statement in error and resubmit the job.
If the problem recurs, have the
· linkage editor map
· log sheet
· job control cards
· object modules
available for problem determination.
If the program was compiled again, have the source deck and the program listing available.
