2123I PREVIOUS PHASE WITHOUT VALID STORAGE ASSIGNMENT
content of statement in error
Cause: Previous phase processed contained no valid storage assignment. This may be
because the PHASE card is out of order or TXT cards were missing.
System Action: The invalid statement is ignored and processing continues, unless ACTION
CANCEL was specified to cancel the job.
Programmer Action: Refer to card format 3, linkage editor control cards (DOS/VS System
Control Statements, under Linkage Editor) and compare this with the output on SYSLST. Some
probable errors are:
· PHASE card after the associated INCLUDE card,
· PHASE card after the associated object deck,
· missing or incomplete object deck,
· missing INCLUDE card.
Reorganize the job stream and resubmit the job.
If the problem recurs, have the following available for problem determination:
· linkage editor map
· log sheet
· iob control cards
· object modules
If the program was compiled again, have the source deck and the program listing available.
