3E14A ENTER OPTION
Cause: The EREP program is requesting that the operator enter EREP execution options.
System Action: The system waits for an operator response.
Programmer Action: none.
Operator Action: Enter the word OPTION, a space, and one or more options. The options are
separated by commas and do not contain embedded blanks. Parameters may be required. The
options and parameters are:
CLEAR - edits and prints the SYSREC file and then clears the file.
EDIT - edits and prints the SYSREC file.
SUM - prints the summarization of the SYSREC file. The file is summarized according to the
GROUP parameter (see also DOS/VS SADP):

MICR/OCR
GROUP=UNITREC

Enter as many groups as needed on one card (or line) separated by commas and without
embedded blanks. If there are recordings on SYSREC from more than one CPU and you desire
the summarization of records related to only one CPU, enter
CPU=xxxxxx,yyyy
where xxxxxx is the CPU serial number and yyyy is the CPU model number.
· HIST - Updates the history tape and then clears SYSREC*.
· HIST,NEW - Creates the history tape, and then clears SYSREC*.
· HIST,2 - Updates the history and RDE tapes, and then clears SYSREC*.
· HIST,UPNEW - Updates the history or RDE tape, creates a history or RDE tape and then
clears SYSREC. Both EREPNEW and EREPUP TLBL cards are required for this operation.
· TES,NEW - Creates a TES history file*.
· TES - Updates a TES history tape*.
· TES,NOTAPE,PRlNT - Edits and prints tape error data from SYSREC on SYSLST in the
detail tape unit format.
· TES,PRlNT.NEW - Creates a TES history tape, then edits and prints tape error data from
SYSREC on SYSLST in the detail tape unit format*.
· TES,PRlNT - Updates the TES history tape, then edits and prints the tape data from
SYSREC on SYSLST in the detail tape unit format*.
· TES,NOTAPE,SUM - Prints the summarized tape data from the SYSREC file on SYSLST in
the summarized tape unit format.
· TES,NOTAPE,PRINT,SUM — Edits and prints the tape error data of SYSREC on SYSLST in
the detail tape unit format and then prints the summarization of the tape data from
SYSREC in the summarized tape unit format.
· TES.SUM,VOL - Updates the TES history tape, then summarizes the tape error data on
SYSREC by volume serial number*.
· TES,PRlNT,VOL - Updates the TES history tape, then edits and prints the tape data on
SYSREC in the detail volume serial number format*.
· SELECT - Selectively prints records from the SYSREC file. Search parameters should
follow the option statement. See DOS/VS SADP for the possible search parameters. When
no parameters are entered, TYPE=MCAR is assumed.
· SELECT,TAPE - Selectively prints records from the history tape. Search parameters should
follow the option statement. See DOS/VS SADP for the possible search parameters. When
no search parameters are entered, TYPE=MCAR is assumed.
* An ASSGN and TLBL card or command must precede the EXEC EREP card or
command if these options are to be used. The magnetic tape unit for the history or
RDE tape must be assigned to SYS009. The magnetic tape unit for the TES history
tape must be assigned to SYS007 and the TES scratch tape must be assigned to
SYS008. The TLBL filenames are EREPNEW for creating and EREPUP for updating the
history/RDE tapes. For the TES history tape, the TLBL filename is TAPEIN for creating and
TESUP for updating.
When the last option or parameter has been entered, press END/ENTER.
You can respond CANCEL to this message, to terminate EREP.
