Cause: blank or L in the muIti—voIume indicator was detected before diskettes corresponding to
all extents provided were processed.
System Action: If SYSLOG has a keyboard the system waits for a response from the
operator; otherwise the job is canceled.
Programmer Action: Check to see that there is a One-To-One correspondence between
extents and diskettes, or
examine the sequence in which the diskettes are being processed to verify that the multi-
volume indicators are the correct sequence. A blank on the first volume indicates the file being
processed is totally contained on this diskette. Verify that the volume containing the L is really
the last volume of the continued file.
Operator Action:
1.) Check that the diskettes were mounted in the correct sequence and/or that all of the
diskettes that should be present for the job are there.
2.) Type CANCEL or CANCELV or press END key to cancel the job or sutask, or type DSPLYV
to obtain a VTOC display, then type IGNORE to continue processing (exit to the users
end—of-file routine). Any other response causes an INVALID RESPONSE message.
