Cause: The extent limits for the file being opened overlap the extent limits of an unexpired
data secured file.
System Action: The job is canceled.
Programmer Action: Examine the VTOC listing to determine where the overlap occurred.
Correct the extent card causing the error to eliminate the overlap, and resubmit the job. If
necessary, use another pack. If it is not necessary to save the secured file, open a DTF using
the same fileā€”lD as that of the secured file and instruct the operator to reply DELETE to
message 4n33A when it is issued.
If the problem recurs after eliminating the overlap condition. have
· listing of VTOC
· failing iob stream and associated listings
· dump at time of failure
available for problem determination.
Operator Action: Display the VTOC and return the output, a storage dump at the time of the
failure, and the failing job to the programmer.
