Cause: The direct-access storage extent allocated to this file is not large enough. Note that
only one extent can be allocated to an assembler work file.
System Action: The job step is terminated.
Programmer Action: If you have supplied DLBL and EXTENT statements for the file in your
job control statements, increase the extent specified for this file and rerun the job. Otherwise
check the LSERV output to determine the size of the extent used, and supply DLBL and
EXTENT statements with a larger extent specified. If you do not want to change the extent
size. separate your program into two or more modules, and assemble each module separately.
If the problem recurs, have the
· job stream
· program listing
· LSERV output
available for problem determination.
Operator Action: If standard labels for the file indicated by the message are used by this job,
execute LSERV and return the output to the programmer.
