VM/CMS CP CLOSE Command
Close a spooled virtual device

This terminates spooling on a virtual unit record or console device.
READER closes reader spool files.
CONSOLE closes a VM's console spool and when closed makes it a printer spool file
which can be manipulated like any other printer spool file.
PRINTER closes printer spool files.
PUNCH closes punch spool files.
vaddr the virutal address of the device to close. It is in the form cuu.
HOLD causes the file to be placed in a hold state.
NOHOLD places the file in a nohold state if the spool command created it in a hold state.
PURGE deletes the file after closing it.
DIST distcode changes the identification used on the separator pages or cards.
NAME fn [ft] gives a CMS format identification and type to the file.
NAME dsname gives a OS or DOS filename to the file.
