Definition of EXTERNAL

Simulate External Interrupt

Priviledge Class G

The EXTERNAL command is used to simulate an external hardware interrupt in the
virtual machine. Such an interrupt might be caused by hitting ready on a
card reader or the External Interrup key on the system console.

EXTernal | [code]
| [ 40 ]

code The hexadecimal code of the intended interrupt. If none is given then
x'40' (the console External Interrupt key) is assumed.

Example: EXT 25

Response: None. Since it is the OS running in the VM that gets the
interrupt any response will be from that operating system.
