VM/CMS CP LOGON Command


Logon to your terminal


Any Priviledge Class



This logs your terminal onto the VM/370 system.

Logon | userid [pswd] [Mask] [Noipl]
Login |

Parameters:

userid Your user id

pswd Your password

Mask This will print characters after the prompt then return the carriage on a printer terminal
so as to mask the password you type

Noipl This will prevent the OS in your profile from loading

With no pswd given: ENTER PASSWORD:

LOGMSG- hh:mm:ss mm/dd/yy
Shows the time the system log message was created. All log messages that start with an * will be
printed at this point. If you want to see all log messages you can enter "QUERY LOGMSG" later.
